Save some time to visit our beautiful Harbor in old Destin!
Here in Destin we refer to our town as the
"World's Luckiest Fishing Village".
Our commercial fishing fleet is one of the largest in the country.
With the Gulf of Mexico to the south and the Choctawhatchee Bay to the north, we are surrounded by some of the greatest fishing around. Our area offers a variety of fishing from the blue marlin in the Gulf to the speckled trout in the bay. Cobia fishing has become so popular that Destin boasts another tournament known as the "Cobia World Championships" each year. The annual Fishing Rodeo takes place each October with over 30,000 anglers from all over the country participating.
